PODCASTING & VODCASTING

December 2, 2007

Podcasting seems like it would be user friendly seeing how it would be easier to process or put together. Unlike Vodcasting seeing how that would be more likely played on a laptop as stated in the handout & seeing how I don’t have the $$ for a laptop would not be an option for me to use. Even though I have never tried to do either one and don’t see myself trying to use either one I think I would still be lost. Then again as stated in another blog if I don’t try new things then I’ll never make it in this field so trying everything once or more than once can help or at least help me understand it more.

Indeed you really have to throw yourself into it all, even doing things you dont necessarily like, for example i dont particulalry like coding, but i work my ass off in all my scripting classes because i know it is something that i need to learn and i need to learn how to do it well to survive in this kind of work environment.

Well, there’s nothing to it, but to do it. I feel like I would rather do podcasting myself. I can’t believe it’s only been around for six monthes, I thought it was longer. Oh well. Just goes to show how fast it’s growing. We better jump into it soon.

Podcasting has actually been around much longer than six months lol but the popularity of it is growing and growing. I don’t think it’s for everybody, it certainly isn’t for me. I don’t see much use for it myself. While vodcasting is more appealing because of the visual aspect, I just can’t see investing in so much software and equipment, for myself at least.

I think that the biggest hurdle on doing a podcast would be time and effort. Time is of the essence and not many of us can spare if we were to do a podcast regularly and update it everyday. For Vodcasting is the money and the time, having to shoot the video and having time do it and the equipment to do it.
You pretty much have to have a plan if you are to do this regularly.
